The Republic of Congo is facing major issues when it comes to providing a complete learning environment in the country’s school system. To help Congolese children better achieve in school, the Kevin Dodelande Foundation bought and distributed 2,000 school desks to several schools in the country.
The law in Congo limits the number of students to 40 per class, but it often happens that this number reaches 150. To help the government cope with this situation, the Kevin Dodelande Foundation distributed over 2,000 school desks to several schools in the country to grow the seating capacity of Congolese schools. In Mpaka, the middle schools Tchicaya Pierre de Bouampire, Tchicaya Pierre de Bouampire, and Kwame Nkrumah de l’OCH all received school desks donated by the Kevin Dodelande Foundation. The Victor Augagneur high school was also a recipient of this donation. 102 local carpenters were hired to build those desks.
This massive donation was made possible thanks to our partnership with the country’s Ministry of Education, and is aligned with the Kevin Dodelande Foundation’s goal to support schools in Congo.
